Check this out. Very cool set-up for how to paint plaid on the wall of your room.
For me, the toughest part of this is figuring out just what colors and lines I want to use! And paying for all that tape. Not cheap these days.
You’ll also notice that this kind of paint treatment takes a lot of time and patience. You have to wait for various colors to dry, level out your lines, apply your tape and so forth. This isn’t really a one-day project. The more colors and variations in lines, the longer it’ll take. Still, way easier than trying to match lines with wallpaper!
Susan’s additional tip for textured walls: Once you have the tape down on the wall, paint over it with the base color. This way the base color will seep into any gaps under the tape instead of the contrast color and you’ll get a nice sharp line.
