Kids Bedroom Ideas: Fun pillows for the room
Feb
Pillows are a great way to add fun and whimsy to a kid’s bedroom – not a lot of size, not a lot of expense and not a lot of commitment. Which makes them a great way to set a theme or just have some fun.
Had quite a few catch my eye lately as I’ve been shopping around. I must have been hungry because the first group were all food related. Hmmm.
The whole pillow hunt started when I ran across the tie-dye fries pillow. Isn’t it adorable? It’s meant as a camp autograph pillow, one of a ton, and comes with a pen so friends can leave messages. (Or maybe so you can tell him to clean his room!) The ice cream sandwich “YummyPillow” comes from DCI, which actually makes some other yummy options like sushi and pizza. You can also indulge a sweet tooth with cute pillows like the apple Jolly Rancher one; candy pillows come in everything from Reeses to Twizzlers.
Moving from food to animals, I found these interesting ones called Get Me Out Pillows. The one in the picture is Sad Dog Sniffy, but there are orcas and dinos and even a happy dog available. The square pillow folds out to make the animal, then folds back in to make the pillow. Cool!
Moving over to some hand knit options, these guys come from The Land of Nod. The first is part of the Hold Me Tight line, which includes this blue with tear pillow as well as a pink with bowtie and smile and gray with mustache and tiny hat. Or you could go with the Pillow People. You have four choices there, the green-haired one in the picture, orange hair in pigtails, dark skin with black hair and even purple hair.

Toddler Bedroom Ideas: Fun storage for books
Jan
Books can be a fun part of a toddler’s bedroom decor. Especially given the fact that toddler’s books are so colorful and frequently make great decorating themes on their own.
But trying to keep them organized can be tough. (Until you’ve trained your toddler to put things on a shelf.) But these cute book buggee’s from P’kolino combine the fun of a toy with their favorite books.
These wood carts have fully rolling wheels and a pull string long enough for your toddler to use to pull their cart around full of their favorite books. It’s a great way to incorporate books into play.
The carts come in cute designs like the school bus in the picture here. Also available are a purple crown and fire truck design. Or you can get the classic book buggee, which comes in natural or orange.
